The goal is to bring member artists together to motivate work production. We gather at NuNu's to work from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on designated days.

Mission and Vision:
Frederick l’Ecole des Arts et al is a 501c3 non-profit arts organization dedicated to providing a stage/platform/gallery for creative living by facilitating community, economic, and artistic/cultural development. Our goal is to educate the public about the importance of the Arts and the positive effects it has on preserving and promoting the culture of the Greater Acadiana Area while providing a better understanding of the artistic contributions made by other cultures of the world, particularly the French culture so prevalent in the region.

Author Andrea Boll will perform words from her book "Parade goes on without you," 2 p.m., Sunday, May 27 at NuNu Arts and Culture Collective.
Boll, a New Orleans resident, grew up in San Diego, California. She is a graduate of the University of California.
Accompaning Boll will be Artist as One Voice.
There is a $5 suggested donation.
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase through NuNu's Culinary Collective.
Join us for petit déjeuner on the last Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. Please come and join us. Bring your stories to share

The May 18 Pot Luck social welcomes special guests photographer Dale Irvin, food critic and author Alex V. Cook, and Christie Weeks, President of Louisiana Citizens for the Arts (LCA).
In addition to great food and conversation, enjoy music provided by Artists as One Voice, see a a photography exhibit by Irvin, pick up Cook's new book "Louisiana Saturday Night" and hear about the amazing work LCA does for advocacy of arts in Louisiana.
The communal dinner starts at 7 p.m., so start planning your epicurean contribution now.
Remember - you may come knowing no one, but you will leave with having made new friends.
If you have been to Pot Luck, we need say no more. If you have not been, be prepared to "pass a good time."

Pooldoo lovers flock to the floor 7 p.m. Saturday, May 5 for NuNu's monthly Pooldoo Party.
"Donnie and the Pooldoos" members Don Carpenter, accordion, and Karen Sellers, drums will be joined by visiting musicians Mark Trichka on guitar and Lisa Brande on fiddle.

Various artists will host retreats, assuring focus remains on work.
Participants have the opportunity to teach during Art Immersion weekends, for which a fee is paid from class costs.

Les Coudre Points
Les Coudre Points quilting group meets 1:30 p.m. every Thursday at NuNu Arts and Culture Collective.
As this is a French-speaking quilting group, be prepared to practice your quilting en français.
Anyone who quilts, has quilted or in interested in learning to quilt is invited to participate.
"We quilt in the old tradition, which includes opportunity to socialize as well as hone needlework skills," said Loretta Bourque, project director.

Trichka and Brande are from Putney, Vermont and are locally known for playing in "Cajun Combo" with Al Berard.
Tedrow plays regularly with the "Nouveau String Band" and the blues band "T-Bone'd."
Pooldoos members Phil Kaelin, bass and Blake Castille, guitar will be away for the May 5 performance.
NuNu Arts and Culture Collective's monthly Pooldoo Party is every first Saturday of the month.
Come with an appetite and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal prepared by NuNu's Culinary Collective.
